CASA’s Fall Fundraiser 2018 raises over $50,000 for abused and neglected children!

The evening of November 2nd, 2018 was an evening of fun and philanthropy that will not soon be forgotten.

This rock was given to a CASA volunteer by a local foster child. He fills the rock with hugs at their monthly visits and sends the rock with her for the month so she will have some hugs.  CASA volunteers embody: “For it is in the act of giving that we receive.” St. Francis of Assisi.

Hosted at Holiday Inn Eastgate, CASA for Clermont Kids Fall Fundraiser is a gala that features live auctions, raffles, silent auctions, cash giveaways and a fabulous wine and craft beer pull.  All the proceeds go to support CASA for Clermont Kids work in advocating for abused and neglected children in Clermont County.

Assisted by CASA volunteers, CASA Board of Trustees volunteers, and volunteers from Park National Bank, CASA’s small staff of 5 employees arranged an elegant evening with excellent opportunities to win fine items.

The evening’s program featured moving testimonials from the volunteer advocates, and a foster family whose lives have been enriched by their connection with CASA.   Service awards were given to dedicated CASA volunteers. CASA also honored Ken & Elizabeth Tracy of TaleMed with the Lykins Positive Energy Award in recognition of their outstanding work and outreach in the community  through Talemed’s “Impacting Tomorrow” initiative. This award is given annually to corporate or individual members of the community who make a positive impact.

Attendees also enjoyed a photo booth donated by Positive Leaps, which added much enjoyment to the evening.  Master of Ceremonies Bob Pautke of LEAD Clermont, SOAR, and the Clermont Chamber of Commerce kept the evening engaging while the guests socialized with old friends, made new connections, and learned more about CASA’s mission.

The evening concluded with live auctions facilitated by Lewis Auctioneering, and a direct appeal to donate to help the children of Clermont County.  Overall, more than $50,000  was raised to fund the mission of CASA to recruit, train, and provide ongoing support to volunteers who advocate for the needs of abused and neglected children who are displaced from their homes, through no fault of their own.

CASA extends an enormous Thank You to our supporters, donors volunteers, event sponsors and corporate partners for making the evening a resounding success!  Their generosity has truly been a great support to CASA’s mission. Together, we make a difference in the lives of local children!
